Kagati village, one year post-earthquake

Little earthquake relief has reached Kagati village since last year’s earthquake. As a result only a few temporary homes have been rebuilt. In the meantime villagers put in their own labor and source materials from local riverbeds.

The 2015 earthquakes devastated Nepal and left girls and women in an increasingly vulnerable position, leading experts to believe child marriage rates will increase over the coming years.
