Lost At Sea

Workers attend to duties inside the engine control room aboard the Alfa K, a Mediterranean based bulk carrier with a Panamanian flag, which was undergoing repairs at the port of Piraeus in Greece on Feb. 20, 2008. Inspectors impose ITF-standard treaties on ship-owners to guarantee minimal standard working conditions for seafarers. They are on call 24 hours a day to address concerns from workers coming to port on the international ships.
