Zahra Hammoumi's boyfriend abandoned her shortly after learning of her pregnancy. Lacking proper medical support and knowledge, she later gave birth in the street before turning to Solidarité Féminine for help. Solidarité Féminine is a locally founded non-profit organization that helps single mothers in Casablanca live dignified lives. The association helps young single mothers who have traditionally been discriminated against in Morocco, with job training, housing, childcare, and literacy.
